This is what I’m thankful for today. I was just explaining my story of how I got “here” the other day and I was reminded of what it took to get “here”. You know what the biggest determining factor was? My thoughts. Which translated into a change of actions. Dianna Kokoszka, the President of MAPS Coaching says that programming = thoughts = feelings = actions = results and then it starts back all over again. And, I 100% believe this.
I was programmed originally to believe that I should be a wife and mother with few aspirations outside of that. The second that I allowed my thoughts to change, my feelings about my life changed which put me into motion to change it… which I did. I’m so grateful that I moved out to SoCal and am blessed to say that this is home. I no longer have what Dianna references as “limiting beliefs”. I honestly believe that God wouldn’t put it in my head if it weren’t possible. So, all those crazy big dreams can be a reality if I want.
Anything worth having is worth working hard for and I am more than happy to work toward my Big Why every single day. What’s my Big Why? Influencing Change. Sounds simple but I have big ideas on how I’m going to do it. In this new position as Assistant Team Leader for Keller Williams Rancho Cucamonga, I get to influence change daily and it is a form of instant gratification that I literally get so energized by.
This week, be grateful that you are where you are and not where you used to be.
